Privacy
This site collects as little as it can. There is no analytics, no tracking script and no third-party content. What follows is the whole of it: what gets recorded, why, and how long it stays.
Who is responsible
Emir Tagmat, as an individual, in Ankara, Türkiye. There is no company behind this site and no data is shared with one.

Server logs
The site runs on my own server. Like any web server it writes an access log for each request: the IP address, the time, the address requested, the browser's user agent string and the referring page.
These logs exist to keep the server running and to spot abuse. They are rotated automatically every month, and at most six months of past logs are kept. Legal basis: legitimate interest — KVKK art. 5/2(f), GDPR art. 6(1)(f).
Private CV links
My CV is not published here. When someone asks for it I create a personal link of the form tagmat.net/cv/… and send it to that person. Opening the link records:
- a shortened IP address — IPv4 cut to /24, IPv6 to /48. The full address is never stored.
- the date and time of the request
- the event: page opened, CV viewed, or CV downloaded
- a rough browser family, for example "Chrome / macOS". The raw user agent string is not stored.
- whether the request looks like a link-preview bot rather than a person
- a country estimate, derived from the shortened IP address
Why: so I know whether a CV I sent was actually opened, and can follow up sensibly. Nothing is used for advertising or profiling and nothing is shared.
These records are deleted after 12 months. Each link has an expiry date and can be revoked at any time. Legal basis: legitimate interest — KVKK art. 5/2(f), GDPR art. 6(1)(f).
Cookies
No cookies are set for visitors, which is why you are not being asked to accept any. One session cookie exists behind the private admin screen; only I ever see it, and it exists so that a login lasts longer than a single page.
No analytics, no third parties
No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no heatmaps, no embedded calendar or video. The fonts are served from this same server rather than a font CDN, so while you read these pages your browser talks to nobody but tagmat.net.
Links that leave this site
The booking button (Cal.com) and my LinkedIn profile are ordinary links. Nothing about you is sent to them from here — but once you follow one, you are on their site and their privacy policy applies, not this one.
Your rights
Under KVKK art. 11 and the GDPR you can ask me whether data about you is processed and what it is, why it is processed, and you can ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask me to restrict or stop processing it, and ask for a copy.
Write to the address above and I will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, in the EU, to your local supervisory authority.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive of earlier versions; the current text is the one that applies.
